We do everything possible to abide by itineraries as originally planned, but decades of experience teaches that we must be flexible in our planning. Changes to a trip’s schedule are uncommon, but Walking Tree reserves the right to make adjustments to programming in the best interest of the group.

| June 8 | Madrid | After a transatlantic journey, the group arrives in Madrid, eager to immerse themselves in Spanish culture. Following check-in, an orientation meeting provides an opportunity to connect with fellow travelers and gain insights into the upcoming adventure. The evening unfolds with a leisurely stroll through the vibrant Plaza Santa Ana neighborhood, where the tantalizing aromas of local cuisine beckon. | Madrid Hotel |
| June 9 | Madrid - Granada | Today we'll visit the Prado museum, to admire the collections in one of the most impressive art museums in the world. Next, we head to Mercado de la Paz to try the best Spanish tortilla in town! In the afternoon we'll stroll through the Retiro Park, once the king's personal refuge, and enjoy churros con chocolate along the old winding streets. Then we'll head with our private bus to Granada, taking in the beautiful countryside as we wind through the Castilla-La Mancha and Andalusia regions of Southern Spain. We'll get settled into our hotel this afternoon upon arrival before tasting the andalusian kitchen with our dinner. | Granada Hotel |
| June 10 | Granada | A guided exploration of the Alhambra awaits, transporting students to a realm of exquisite architecture and lush gardens. As we leave to Granada city we will cross by "Paseo de los Tristes" named thus because it was the place where funeral processions used to pass on their way to the cemetery. In "Alhambra Churrería" we will recover from a full morning with a taste of Granada culture. The afternoon offers free time to wander through the labyrinthine streets of the Albaicín, perhaps sipping traditional Moroccan tea in a cozy teahouse. The day culminates with a captivating flamenco performance in a magical cave setting. | Granada Hotel |
| June 11 | Granada - Ronda | The adventure continues in Ronda, a dramatic town perched on a deep gorge. After a breathtaking view of the chasm, students have the opportunity to embark on a bike tour through the picturesque countryside, culminating in a visit to the enchanting white village of Setenil de las Bodegas. A refreshing swim in a nearby river offers a welcome respite from the Andalusian sun. The day concludes with a cultural exchange with local Spanish students, giving us the chance to put our language learning to use. | Ronda Hotel |
| June 12 | Ronda - Sevilla | An exhilarating hike along the Caminito del Rey, a walkway carved into sheer cliffs, promises unforgettable views. We'll make time for a refreshing swim in a nearby reservoir before arriving in Seville, a city renowned for its vibrant spirit and once opulent wealth. Tonight we'll enjoy a dinner of traditional tapas. | Sevilla Hotel |
| June 13 | Sevilla | A captivating exploration of Seville's historic center begins with a visit to the magnificent cathedral, where the tomb of Christopher Columbus lies. We will also visit Plaza de España with it's four beautiful bridges that cross the canal and represent the ancient kingdoms of Spain. After a tasty tapas lunch, students gain a unique perspective of the city during a leisurely boat tour on the Guadalquivir River. The day concludes with a hands-on culinary experience as the group learns to prepare an authentic Spanish meal during a private cooking class. | Sevilla Hotel |
| June 14 | Sevilla - Madrid | As the Spanish adventure draws to a close, we will say good bye to Sevilla after going up to the "Setas de Sevilla" to take in the impressive views before we start our journey back to Madrid by train, enjoying the picturesque countryside. The afternoon is dedicated to a fun-filled photographic scavenger hunt in the nation's capital, allowing students to showcase their newfound Spanish language skills. | Madrid Hotel |
| June 15 | Madrid | For our final day in Madrid, we'll spend the day exploring Spain's cosmopolitan capital by foot. Depending on what students are interested in, we may visit the Royal Palace, the Temple of Debod, and the West Park or visit the famous Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofia. Tonight, a celebratory dinner to commemorate our adventure together! | Madrid Hotel |

Accommodations
In order to provide a safe and memorable experience, we follow strict guidelines when choosing group accommodations. Walking Tree partners with hotels and guest houses which are centrally located, locally operated, clean and safe. We inspect each partner hotel to ensure they meet these standards.
TOC Hotel Madrid
TOC is a spacious and hip hotel located in the heart of Madrid, just minutes away from the metro and major tourist attractions. This is a modern and hi-tech hotel with a friendly staff and a great breakfast! Travelers will have their own beds, distributed between double, triple and quadruple rooms.
Monasterio Basilio
Monasterio Basilio is located in the center of Granada and provides an ideal location from which to explore the city. This cozy hotel can accommodate up to four students per room with ensuite bathrooms and the quirky aesthetic that defines this hotel makes for a memorable stay.
Enfrente Arte
Enfrente Arte is a unique hotel in the heart of Ronda, Spain. Each room has its own character, and is themed differently. All rooms include an ensuite bathroom, air conditioning and central heating. Free Wi-Fi access throughout the building keeps everyone feeling connected. Students will be grouped in their rooms according to gender and availability.

In order to give our travelers the best possible price, we break out airfare from the Program Tuition. We will still handle all booking and ticketing via our flight partner who has access to special fares not available to the general public. Once confirmed, you will be invoiced for the flight roughly 75 days prior to travel.
Program Tuition Excludes: Travel insurance, baggage fees, passport/visa fees, laundry, souvenirs, and activities not listed on itinerary.
