Walking Tree Travel specializes in customized group travel. The itinerary below is from a recent program and is provided here as an example of just one of many experiences that are possible in this destination.

Today, we'll embark on our exciting journey to South Korea! We'll depart the USA and arrive in Incheon International Airport tomorrow.

Upon arrival at Incheon International Airport, meet your English-speaking guide and enjoy a welcome lunch. Afterward, transfer to your hotel in Seoul and settle in for a relaxing evening. Take a rest after check-in, allowing yourself to adjust after the long journey. Depending on flight times, we may have time to take a walk around the neighborhood and familiarize ourselves with the area.

Start your day with a hearty breakfast at the hotel. Next, we'll delve into the country's history by visiting the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ), a symbolic border between North and South Korea. We'll learn about the complex history and politics between the two countries. After this eye-opening experience, we'll return to the hotel to unwind and enjoy a Korean dinner.

After breakfast, we'll begin the day by visiting Smob Goyang, an exciting indoor sports park, before heading to Gwanghwamun Plaza, a historic landmark at the heart of Seoul. Next, explore the grandeur of Gyeongbokgung Palace, where you'll experience a Hanbok (traditional Korean attire) dressing session. In the afternoon, we will participate in a hands-on Korean cooking class where we'll earn to prepare popular dishes like Bulgogi and Tteokbokki. End the day by relaxing back at our hotel.

Following breakfast, ascend to Seoul Sky, the highest observation deck in Korea, to enjoy panoramic views of the city. Afterward, head to Lotte World Adventure, one of Seoul's most popular theme parks, filled with rides, attractions, and indoor excitement. Return to your hotel in the evening for rest.

After checking out of our hotel, we'll board the KTX high-speed train for a scenic 3-hour journey to Busan, Korea's second-largest city. Upon arrival, we will explore the vibrant Gamcheon Culture Village, a colorful hillside community filled with art installations and narrow alleyways. Then, we will experience the bustling energy of Jagalchi Fish Market, Korea’s largest seafood market known for its fresh catches and lively atmosphere. Settle into your Busan hotel for the night.

After breakfast, we will visit the breathtaking Haedong Yonggungsa Temple, a Buddhist temple dramatically perched along the coastline. From there, enjoy the panoramic views from Cheongsapo Observatory and stroll through Blue Line Park, a scenic walking trail along the shore. In the afternoon, relax at Haeundae Beach, Busan’s most famous beach, and marvel at the underwater wonders at SEALIFE Aquarium. Return to your hotel for a restful evening.

The journey continues as we check out of our hotel and take the KTX back to Seoul. Upon arrival, we will immerse ourselves in Korean history at the National Museum of Korea, which houses thousands of artifacts spanning ancient to modern times. Next, visit the iconic N Seoul Tower for a spectacular view of the city’s skyline, and experience traditional Korean life at Namsangol Hanok Village, a beautifully restored village showcasing historic homes. Unwind at your hotel in the evening.

Start with breakfast and then travel to the Suwon Folk Village, an immersive experience into Korea’s traditional culture with folk performances and ancient architecture. In the afternoon, enjoy a thrilling day at Everland, South Korea’s largest theme park known for its exciting rides, zoo, and seasonal events. This evening we'll have a farewell dinner and celebrate a memorable trip together!

After breakfast, check out of your hotel and head to Incheon International Airport for your departure, reflecting on the rich experiences and adventures from your trip.
