To start the day off we had breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast we left for the Prado, a museum of art showing a multitude of different paintings from the same artists. While in the Prado we went on a guided tour which was nice to get a sense of what the artists were thinking while they were painting. After the Prado we went on a walk in what was like Central Park, where we ate a delicious lunch under the trees. After lunch we did some stretching to open us up for the rest of the day. The park was beautiful and full of life, itvwas perfect to be there and judt breathe. Also at the park some of the group to picture ls with Kermit the frog and laughed from the joy of it. After the park we walked around the city and went to the Plaza Mayor. There we took a break and people watched. Departing from the plaza we headed to get churros con chocolate and some well needed refills for our water. The churros were very savory and not as sweet as the ones found in the U.S. but they were perfect and satisfied us. After churros we had the best siesta of the trip, where we napped for 3 hours like the Spaniards. Then for dinner we went to buffet called Topolino where everyone found something that satisfied them. The food was superb. On our way back to the hotel we went through Puerta del sol, similar to time Square in New York, and had ice cream before going back to the hotel to sleep and recharge for Toledo.

For our last day in France, and for sure my favorite day, we were able to get to know the city with a little more freedom. After a delicious hotel breakfast, we headed towards Saint-Chapelle, and we were guided by the French-speaking students on the trip, which actually turned out successful! The chapel was gorgeous, adorned with colorful stained glass, beautiful architecture, and stunning religious statues and designs. We were able to onlook the city from the balcony of the chapel, and truly admire the unique designs within Paris while we posed for photos. Afterwards, we were guided back by the French students and headed towards the Pantheon. While it was unfortunately closed for peaceful protests, it turned out to be a blessing in disguise— we were able to shop around the area and ended up enjoying tea, hot chocolate, coffee, crepes, and croissants while other students shopped for souvenirs. On our way to a park, our next stop, we picked up Mediterranean food for lunch. The park was truly gorgeous— green grass, shade and sunshine, and it was great to see Paris getting some sun after a bit of a cloudy streak. When we made it to the park, we ate for a bit before heading off for some final souvenir shopping and photos in the last hours of our stay in France. Since our flight is leaving soon, we picked up our bags and made a relaxing bus ride to the hotel to make our way to Spain. My favorite part of today was the park, because it was nice to get some pretty weather and sitting time while enjoying flavorful food. The day was an enjoyable and mellow close to a great visit of Paris, but will get more exciting as the night goes on and we get excited for Madrid!

Bonjour! Today, we traveled from Paris to Versailles, France. There, we saw the breathtaking Palace of Versailles and all of its amazing surroundings. We walked through the gardens in the rain, where we stopped for crepes and later, lunch; which we bought earlier from a nearby market. After Versailles, we took the train back to Paris where we walked up flights and flights of stairs to the top of the Arc de Triomph. Many photos later, it was time to go shopping down the Champs Elysees! We got some new souvenirs as well as some postcards. Soon after, we went to Cafe Gustave for dinner, and had hamburgers and pasta. For dessert, we had a chocolate mousse. Next, we went on a very relaxing night river cruise of Paris and all its attractions. We ended the night with a trip up the Eiffel Tower and we were lucky to be on it when it started sparkling. Finally, we took the bus back to the hotel for a much needed night of sleep.

Au revoir!

We made it!
