will walk you through reflection on your experience abroad, and asks you to think about how you will articulate and demonstrate those experiences to a potential college or employer.<\/p>\n<h3><b>How You Do It<\/b><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Read the <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/s3-us-west-2.amazonaws.com\/walkingtree.org\/uploads\/2019\/08\/GLA-Post-Acvitivity-2-Worksheet-Telling-the-Story-2020.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Telling the Story: Reflection and Articulation\u00a0Worksheet by clicking HERE<\/a><\/em><\/span><strong>.<\/strong> Print and write on the handout if possible.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Look at each of the characteristics listed on the left-hand side of the sheet and read the corresponding descriptions of how these might appear as a valuable skill or ability for the future.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Next, write down a short story or statement \u2013 two or three sentences \u2013 that demonstrates a specific skill you gained or event you experienced during your trip related to each characteristic.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><div id=\"panel-57126-0-0-4\" class=\"so-panel widget widget_sow-editor\" data-index=\"4\" Points<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>This exercise is a great way to practice talking about your experience abroad without using cliche or over-simplistic words like \u201cfun, amazing, cool, great, hard, and life-changing.\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>It will be important to have specific examples that demonstrate concrete skills and experiences, so people can really understand how the experience has impacted you and made you a better global leader.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Explaining your new skills and powerful experiences through stories in college applications or interviews with
