In addition, you may need a visa depending on your nationality and the country or countries you are visiting. For countries requiring a visa from U.S. travelers, we will provide you with information necessary to help you apply for and obtain a visa upon acceptance of your application. Non-U.S. citizens must check local visa requirements, including requirements for countries passed through in transit. For U.S.-based programs, we recommend bringing a school I.D., driver’s license, or other form of identification.

US Citizens

Passports must be valid for six months after the final day of your travel program, including one open visa page.

We will send you any information regarding visas if necessary for your destination country.

Non-US Citizens

(or those traveling from a country other than the USA)

Non-US citizens should check with their country’s embassy abroad to verify vaccination and visa requirements.

US citizens traveling from a country other than the United States should check the State Department website (www.travel.state.gov) for more information regarding additional visa or vaccine requirements.

Please contact us for further information regarding passport and visa requirements.

Packing Lists

Preparing for an adventure can often be challenging, whether the destination is new or familiar. We provide sample packing lists located on your private program webpage for each of our countries, customized for each program’s length.

Whether you are traveling to Japan, Senegal, or Peru, all our suggested packing lists cover the basic necessities for each program’s environment. Suitable clothing, essential toiletries, and miscellaneous items such as spending money, your student ID, and a journal are all included. In the event that your program includes homestays, we also provide guidance on how to select an appropriate gift to give to your families. We recommend you bring a larger piece of luggage like a duffle bag or backpack, as well as a smaller backpack that you can bring on hikes, weekend excursions, and shorter activities.

We appreciate that everyone has their own preferred style of packing for travel, which is why our lists should be viewed as helpful guides. We tend to follow a “less-is-more” philosophy of packing, and encourage participants to be mindful of their own needs.

Spending Money

We recommend bringing around $250 in spending money while on our programs but encourage you to adjust this recommendation based on your spending habits. As a reminder, everything on our programs is included in the tuition price, such as food, accommodations, transportation, activities, etc. However, there are opportunities on all of our programs to spend extra money beyond what is already included in the trip.

During our programs there will always be opportunities to purchase souvenirs to remember your experience, or as gifts for your family and friends. Your spending money might also be used for optional free time activities depending on your program. Examples of this might be a spa treatment at the hotel where you are staying, time at an internet cafe, purchasing snacks, or visiting a new museum during a free afternoon.

Preparing for an adventure can often be challenging so we’ve compiled resouces to help you out.

["post-53386","page","type-page","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry
["GET
