My daughter came home from school one day saying she wanted to go to Costa Rica after a presentation from Walking Tree. Seeing and feeling her excitement and motivation we got everything together for her to go. I am so thankful that we did that. She came home overflowing with stories of how wonderful it was. She was fearful and nervous going in but coming home, a completely different person. She was able to use the Spanish she has been learning for 10 years and cemented her love for the language. She absolutely loved her host family, from her little sister, to mom and Grandma and Grandpa. Going back home after her day of work was one of her favorite things. The confidence gained in the service work was amazing. She did things she never thought she would be able to do. The group grew to be great friends. Hope she has this opportunity again.
