Local Service Days

Local Service Days

While we do amazing work in our host communities abroad, Walking Tree also recognizes the great need for service here in the U.S. In an effort to address this need, Walking Tree is launching a Domestic Service Pledge of 500 hours for this Academic Year. All Walking Tree Travel alumni students, parents, teachers, leaders, and fans can contribute hours by participating in a service event.

Walking Tree will sponsor events during popular service days, such as MLK Day of Service and Earth Day, where members of the Walking Tree community will volunteer with a local organization. These events will not only provide assistance to worthy causes but will also serve as mini-reunions where you can reconnect with old friends and make new ones. Most importantly, we hope to inspire you to continue actively serving your community throughout the year.
